Service New Brunswick has been made aware of a scam in which individuals are contacted and informed that they have received an overpayment or are entitled to a refund, and are asked to click on a link or visit a website.
These messages did not originate from Service New Brunswick. We do not request personal, financial, or banking information via unsolicited emails, text messages, or social media, nor do we ask individuals to click on links to resolve overpayments or refunds.
If you receive such a message, do not respond, do not click on any links, and do not provide personal information.
