MUST review all information below before starting the test:

  • A desktop or laptop connected to the internet with an enabled camera
    • photos will be taken throughout the exam for identification purposes
    • phones and tablets are not compatible
    • Video conferencing applications (FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, etc.) must be temporarily disabled.
      Answering a video call will render the camera inoperable for the remainder of the test, resulting in test failure.
       
  • One of these browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge

  • A valid email address

  • For minors (under 18), consent must be given electronically by a parent at the time of registration.    Parents must provide a separate valid email address.

  • Applicants are required to complete the test on their own, without assistance.   

  • Applicants must not refer to the driver handbook, internet or any other resource.
    • If it is determined that unauthorized assistance has been received, this will constitute a failure and require the applicant to complete another test (retest fee will be charged).

  • Upon test completion, applicants will receive an email with results or advising that answers need additional time to be reviewed.
    To view results and the failed questions click Login with Token.  Results will be displayed after entering the token number and date of birth.
     
  • If applicant passes all required tests, they must wait a minimum of 4 business days, then go to any SNB office (except Campobello) to complete a vision test.  The following documentation will also be required:
  • If applicant fails one or more tests, they must wait a minimum of 7 days, then pay the retesting fee(s) and attempt the test(s) again.

RETRY – New Driver Examination Test Bundle (Passenger Vehicle) ($15 + HST)

Road Sign Test and Rules of the Road bundled for Class 7.1 Licence (Learner’s Permit). Only complete the test (s) that you previously failed.
 

Examination targeted for drivers seeking Class 6H or 6I Licence (Learner’s Permit). *Must have completed the motorcycle course. You must present your certificate of completion when obtaining your licence at Service New Brunswick office.

Comprised of:

  • Road Sign Recognition Exam (20 questions)
  • Rules of the Road Non-Commercial Knowledge Exam (20 Questions)
  • Rules of the Road Motorcycle/Motor Driven Cycle Knowledge Exam  (10 Questions)

RETRY New Driver Examination Test Bundle (Motorcycle) ($15 + HST)

Rules of the Road Motorcycle/Motor Driven Cycle; Road Sign Test and Rules of the Road bundled for Class 6H or 6I Licence (Motorcycle Learner’s Permit). Only complete the test (s) that you previously failed.
 

Examination targeted for drivers seeking Class 9 Licence Motor-Driven cycle, moped or scooter 50cc or less.

Comprised of:

  • Road Sign Recognition Exam (20 questions)
  • Rules of the Road Non-Commercial Knowledge Exam (20 Questions)
  • Rules of the Road Motorcycle/Motor Driven Cycle Knowledge Exam  (10 Questions)

 

RETRY – New Driver Examination Test Bundle (Moped, Scooter) ($15 + HST)

Rules of the Road Motorcycle/Motor Driven Cycle; Road Sign Test and Rules of the Road bundled for Class 9 Licence (Moped/Scooter). Only complete the test (s) that you previously failed.
 

 

The full test price is $25 (plus HST), which is the same price as doing the test in person.  Online payment options are:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit card (Visa or MasterCard)
  • Interac online (only available with RBC or TDCanada Trust)
