Driving Tests

Written tests (class 7.1 learners permit, motorcycle, moped)

  • Road Sign Recognition Exam
  • Rules of the Road Non-Commercial Knowledge Exam
  • Rules of the Road Motorcycle/Motor Driven Cycle Knowledge Exam     

The full test price is $25 (plus HST), which is the same price as doing the test in person.  Online payment options are:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit card (Visa or MasterCard)
  • Interac online (only available with TDCanada Trust)

Once paid, an access code will be issued to attempt each test:

Note:  Access codes may be saved for later use.

If you pass

  • If applicant passes all required tests, they must wait a minimum of 4 business days, then go to any SNB office (except Campobello) to complete a vision test.  The following documentation will also be required:

If you don’t pass

  • If you do not pass your test, you must wait 1 day before your second attempt. If you do not pass your test on the second attempt, you must wait 1 week before attempting the third time. If you do not pass after 3 attempts, you will need to book an appointment to complete the test in person at a Service NB Driver Examiner office.
