FREDERICTON (GNB) – More than 400 vendors and 23 exhibitors are expected to attend the 2017 Atlantic Provinces Reverse Trade Show at the Delta Fredericton on Oct. 25.

“This reverse trade show is a great opportunity for the private sector to network and learn about doing business with all levels of government,” said Service New Brunswick Minister Serge Rousselle. “Exhibitors from public sector organizations and procurement professionals from across Atlantic Canada will be available to discuss with vendors what types of goods and services are being purchased and how they can compete and sell their goods and services to government through the public procurement process. It is our way of saying we are open for business to get the best value for taxpayers, create jobs and strengthen the economy of our province and the entire Atlantic region.”

In addition to booths and displays, the trade show will offer information sessions on: trade agreements; procurement rules and processes; how to respond to requests for proposals; bid-rigging and compliance; and the federal government’s Build in Canada Innovation Program.

Registration is free, however vendors are encouraged to register in advance.

Sign-in begins at noon on the day of the event, with the show taking place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Exhibitors will include provincial governments, the federal government, municipalities, post-secondary institutions and Crown corporations.

New Brunswick also hosted the Atlantic Provinces Reverse Trade Show in 2009 and 2013.
